The JKA England Referees Course is for those wanting to referee at upcoming competitions or take International Qualifications. Please check with your chief instructor if this course is appropriate for you before registering. Limited spaces available.
Schedule
Squad members - no payment required, please register via the squad training page.
12noon to 4pm
Referees
11am to 1pm - Class-based session where Sensei Ohta and the Technical Committee explain in detail JKA tournament rules and regulations.
1pm to 2pm - Break
2pm to 4 pm - Practical session where we apply what we have learned in the morning.
Supporting Information - please ensure that you have printed a new copy of the updated 2025 "Tournament Rules & Regulations - effect from 1 April 2025" plus have reviewed the 3 supporting videos provided by JKA Japan (labeled "Judge Manual 1", "Judge Manual 2" and "Judge Manual 3"). *Please note that you may only register if you meet the eligibility criteria: grade 1st Kyu+ and age 18+
