JKA England are looking forward to welcoming you to the Autumn International Karate Course at K2, Crawley, West Sussex RH11 9BQ.

Tickets for the course are available through the JKA England Shop webpage, and details of special accommodation rates at the Arora Hotel Gatwick, Southgate Avenue, Crawley RH10 6LW (only 1.2 miles away) can be downloaded under “Other” on the JKA England Downloads page.

Kata schedule
Friday 11 September – Heian Shodan, Heian Nidan, Enpi, Wankan, Nijushiho, Gojushiho Dai
Saturday 12 September – Heian Sandan, Heian Yondan, Kanku Dai, Jitte, Unsu
Sunday 13 September – Heian Godan, Tekki Shodan, Bassai Dai, Jion, Dan grading kata

We are delighted to introduce the following JKA Instructors:


Imura Takenori Sensei, 8th Dan

JKA World Kata Champion in 2nd and 5th Shoto World Cups, and All Japan Kata Champion for 5 consecutive years from 1992 to 1996. Imura Sensei’s motto is “Firm Faith”. Sensei is Vice General Manager of the Technical Division of JKA Honbu and has visited Europe many times to teach, particularly in Germany.




Sawada Kazahiro Sensei, 7th Dan

Sawada Sensei is a highly respected JKA Instructor and a regular visitor to the JKA England International Courses. He is Chief Instructor of the Sawada Academy in Brussels and his profile can be seen on their website http://www.sawadaacademy.com

Ohta Yoshinobu Sensei, 7th Dan

Born in Japan, Sensei Ohta attended the famous JKA Instructors class in Japan. Sensei Ohta was Master Enoeda’s assistant from 1983 to 2003 and has been Chief Instructor of JKA England since 2003.

Ohta Sensei’s style of teaching demands high levels of commitment and concentration while his great sense of humour makes training with Ohta Sensei a totally enjoyable experience. When Sensei is not busy teaching around the world, he teaches regularly at the Budokwai, Oasis, and Yushikai Clubs.
