4 Great things about Traditional Karate with Japan Karate Association England (0 comments)
We are not saying that Karate with Japan Karate Association England is the only martial art. Even that JKAE Karate is the only type of Shotokan Karate but here are 4 reasons why Traditional Karate with Japan Karate Association England is respected worldwide,
Tracked lineage of Belts and Rankings
This may sound like a no-brainer but every JKAE Black Belt can tell you who graded them for Shodan. If you have the opportunity the person that graded them can also tell you who graded them for Black Belt and so. What you have here is a lineage of instructors which stretches back to the founder of Shotokan Karate Gichin Funakoshi. An assurance of knowledge quality.
Training that focuses on technique
There is nothing wrong with doing 500 sit ups and 500 press ups in your own training but should it form part of a lesson or grading? Traditional Karate works all muscle groups at high intensity. Every lesson drills technique to help you take the most from every lesson. Purposeful, focussed training pushes you physically, mentally and spiritually ensuring maximum benefit.
The JKA Shotokan Karate pathway is unchanging through Kyu Grade to Shodan and onwards. It has been developed with certain key points and development steps in mind. The teaching method of basic techniques hasn’t changed. Where some people see tradition as a lack of development or evolution others will see perfection of technique and body memory. The ability to react and apply the technique make the difference. This means that every student in a JKAE Karate Dojo is going through the same meaningful process as a purposeful transformation. All students have common ground with everyone else.
No JKA dojo is isolated
JKA England run a variety of events across England including the International Courses, Regional Courses, Competitions, Referee Trainings, Instructor Courses and Exams. From a membership point of view, there are plenty of things to get involved in such as the All Grades Course & Dan Grading on the 17th September at Hatfield Sports Village. With Instructors, JKA England are continually investing in their growth and standard. The ultimate aim is served – the development of the Student.
These are just some of the benefits of Traditional Shotokan Karate with Japan Karate Association England. There are many more including authentic governance and oversight from JKAE Head Office and our Honbu in Tokyo as a non-profit Association run for the Students. Traditional JKAE Karate training provides Self-Defence, Confidence, Awareness, Posture, Flexibility and Mindfulness amongst many other benefits……the list goes on.
