Chikara - Charity Fundraising

Chikara Karate Fundraising2nd March

Wednesday 2nd March was a great day for Leytonstone based JKA club “Chikara”, as they struggled for almost 2 hours to raise £1,115 for the charity, “Dreams Come True” A kata marathon was undertaken, with sweat and tears amalgamating to around 2500 kata’s being executed - no easy feat for those who know how tiring kata is! This, combined with a series of taster sessions held over the half term, has hopefully increased awareness to this worthy charity and introduced members of the public to the true meaning of Karate – peace and unity.

Sensei Nasreen said she was extremely proud of the hard work and effort, students and parents alike, put in to the fundraising.
